UKMT Maths Challenge

We have had some great success in maths this term.

Earlier this term nine students from Years 9, 10 and 11 sat the UKMT Intermediate Challenge.

Between them the students gained one Gold, three Silver and one Bronze medal, and James in Year 11 scored an amazing full marks.  He has been invited to take part in the next round, a two hour exam of 6 challenging questions, (only the top 5% of students are invited to participate), on 16th March.

Following his perfect score James has also received an invitation to attend the National Mathematics Summer School, he is one of 48 students in the whole of the UK who have been invited.  This is really prestigious for him, and he deserves our congratulations.

Very well done James!
