Summary of Physical Education Activities

Along with your PE lessons all pupils are encouraged to participate in at least 30 minutes of active exercise a day. Try to get your heart rate up while walking the dog or joining in with step challenge.

All years will have 2 PE lessons added to their google classroom the morning of their lesson each week. This half term lessons will have a dance and fitness structure to them. Most lessons will ask for the students to upload some evidence of their participation that day.

In the Senior School we have added a theory element to some lessons to help pupils identify the benefits of leading an active healthy lifestyle.  GCSE PE lessons for Y10 and Y11 will have live theory lessons with their class teacher.

The daily challenges can be found on the Sancton Wood school sports instagram page, @sws_sport.

Mr Settle often shares the task in his Breakfast Briefing. The inter-house challenge has been shared on the google classrooms for all years. Pupils are encouraged to participate in the challenges during their 3rd PE lesson of the week.
