What a marvellous poetical time we had last week. Lots of wonderful poems were read, composed, and shared. The children really enjoyed listening to poems that were silly, sad or serious, and excelled themselves at writing their own. The highlight of the week was ‘Poetry Showcase’, when Unicorn Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 classes recited/read aloud rhymes or poems of their choice. Mr Settle came along to enjoy and applaud the children’s efforts too. He was deeply impressed!
