Year 8 and our 4 Year 10 geography students set off for the Norfolk coast earlier this week to explore the severe coastal erosion occurring at Happisburgh: as part of our coastal studies in geography. Students examined the rock types, took samples, measured long shore drift, measured pebble shapes and sizes, sketched and evaluated the different coastal defences and ate lots of ice-cream whilst enjoying some rather spectacular coastal scenery!

We were very lucky that the good weather held all day and we even got to interview local resident Jo-Jo about the future of her little village that is slowly falling into the sea.
