The first round of the Delancey UK Chess challenge has now been completed.

This is a national competition which eventually pits the best young chess players in the country against each other in a grand final. Congratulations go to Arthur (Year 4), Fraser (Year 7), Gabriel & Sasha (both Year 5), Morris (Year 3) and Maya (Year 4), who all qualified for the next round. This is the Area ‘Megafinal’ which consists of all the highest scoring players in Cambridgeshire and will be held at St Faiths School on May 1st.

A special mention goes to Arthur Janes who won the club competition and is now School Champion! All the players in the club tried their best and learned some great chess skills on the way.
