Acts of Kindness

Thanks to our parents who donated to the Cambridge City Foodbank just before the schools closed. They had seen a decline in donations, given the situation with the supermarkets and were grateful that we were still supporting them.

We donated funds to our partner school in Kampala through our work with the East Africa Children’s project. They needed money to continue to provide meals for orphaned children they would usually feed in school now that their schools are closed. Donations exceeded what they had asked for.

Our students are also showing acts of kindness. Darcey, Y5 has been caring for Cambridgeshire’s homeless by making lots of sandwiches and dropping them to the collection point. South Cambridge Police also tweeted a thank you to Adam in Y2, after he left a lovely drawing saying thank you to the police on the doorstep of a police officer. They said that gestures such as that “really brighten our day.”
