On May 8th, a selection of Y9 and Y10 Computer Science students had the exciting opportunity to visit Five.AI, a cutting-edge company specialising in autonomous vehicle technology. During the visit, students were introduced to the world of driverless cars and experienced a simulator demonstration that showcased the advanced software and algorithms behind these innovative vehicles. They also learned about the coding and computer science principles that make autonomous driving possible, gaining valuable insights into the future of transportation and the significant role technology plays in shaping it. This visit provided a fascinating glimpse into how classroom learning translates into real-world applications. The staff at Five.AI were very helpful and took time off to deliver the presentation.
