Sports Report: Year 6 ISA Triathlon

The Year 6s travelled 50 miles to Woodlands School who provided an outstanding environment for the Triathlon competition.  With a variety of bikes, a swimming pool, running grounds and lots of support staff, the event was certainly to be remembered.

The Triathlon starts with a 50m swim, after which the students hop out of the pool, put their trainers and top on and run straight to their bikes.  Once on their bikes, it’s a fast peddle around the grounds for approximately 800m, followed by an 800m run.  It’s essentially a sprint from beginning to end!  Every student performed at their very best and because it is an individual sport, there is no hiding place… every student must find the courage and determination to compete and push themselves.

Each year 6 student completed the Triathlon and worked very hard.  Special mention must go to Joshua who competes in Triathlons and beat his time from last year by 20 seconds, coming 2nd overall in the event (out of 100 boys), just missing out on first place by 2 seconds.

A fantastic performance by all!

Year 6 team: Leia,  Joshua, Milly, Gabriel, Rose, Gianluca, Ella, Freddie, Bella, Williams, Olivia, Max Jarvis, Sky.
